Here are some key details for the Sligo St Patricks Festival:

It is free to enter the parade and anyone is welcome. Register at TAKE PART .

Parade starts at midday on March 17th on Mail Coach Road and flows through the town ending at Pearse Road past the Garda Station.

Streets in town will close at 11.30am. Please arrive early. There is lots of car parking on the outskirts of town also if do you arrive late.

There will be 3 wheelchair access viewing areas at O’Connell St,  Quay St and Teeling St. We advise arriving as early as possible as space will be limited.

For anyone who may have sensory needs, there will be a Quiet zone at Quay St.

Yes, there will be live music along the parade route before the parade at Teeling St and O’Connell St with the Sligo Jazz Orchestra and Sligo Concert Band.

Ocean FM will broadcast Live throughout the morning and during the parade on O’Connell Street.

There will be 3 nights to trad sessions as part of our Trad Trail across the town each evening.

(Details to be announced). Queen Maeves Square will host two days and night of Live Music acts at the Open Aid Gig Rig Events including showing the 6 Nations Finale between Ireland and Scotland on Saturday March 16th.

It will be €5 adm to this event and U8 go FREE.
